Eric Franceries | Concert DT

The first time I tried a guitar build by Daniel, it was a shock for me: I had never really played on a guitar for me as well: A rich and original sound, a palette of timbres sound incredible, a guitar as interesting in a “Forte” as in a sensitive “Pianissimo”. I play this guitar since four years now. We both travelled a lot, and I always enjoy rediscovering it each day. I am sure that a lot of musicians guitarists will appreciate the superb instruments made by Daniel.

A very special surprise for me was meeting Eric Franceries. In May 2005, he saw my very first double-top guitar at a mutual friend’s house, tried it out, and used it in a concert that very evening! The next day he called me and told me the news. I was there that evening and experienced one of my guitars live on stage for the first time. At that time, he frequently played small concert series in my area. It wasn’t the last time. I estimate I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy about 20 concerts by the two of them, including a few during visits to France. The guitar has since traveled with Eric to five continents, to Djibouti (Africa), China, Siberia, Singapore, Brazil, the USA… It has played well over 1,000 concerts and is still in use today (2019) after 14 years. I hope we’ll meet again many times!
