Concert Double-Top
The „Concert Double-Top“ guitar, a very powerful artist model for the concert classical guitarist.
A versatile powerhouse for the stage and ensemble playing. Balanced even in the highest registers, remaining sensitive and expressive. The tone is full and rich, yet transparent and brilliant with excellent sustain.
During my studies, I experimented with a composite construction method for guitar tops, using only wood. The basic idea was to enclose the bracing between two thin layers of wood. These two thin layers are firmly connected by a grid of spruce strips. This results in a particularly lightweight and responsive top.
To my surprise, the first guitar with this construction (No. 8/2005) was purchased by Professor Eric Franceries (Lyon, France) and became his main instrument for over 10 years. It was used and proven in over 1000 concerts all over the world.
Looking back, this was a significant moment in my career as a guitar maker. Since then, the model has undergone several development stages and now accounts for the majority of my orders. Over 130 instruments of this construction have been built to date.
