The cross-braced top produces a balanced, feedback-free sound. The choice of woods and the appropriate pickup system allows the guitar to be individually tailored to its intended use and desired sound. The finish is preferably applied as a matte or high-gloss spray lacquer, making it durable enough to withstand the rigors of touring. The cutaway can be rounded or pointed, or even feature a particularly ergonomic 3D curve.
